**2024 The Year of the Yang Wood Dragon 甲⾠**

PART TWO — If there’s one country where Dragons (and arguably Ages) culturally permeates all aspects of society, it’s China. Be it symbolic of Emperors, dragon dances to foods or Feng Shui’s bias for auspicious hidden dragon sites. While the term ‘New Age’ was coined by Alice Bailey, (Fountainhead author and dragon native), in Feng Shui it indicates an extended elemental shift — from Earth, to Fire.

Since 2004 Earth oversaw space and time; now a new elemental chart reigns. Age of 9, adds a new layer of interpretation to existing built environments, regions and countries. All structures built in former Ages undergo an energetic rearrangement; even outgoing built structures from 2004-2023, now cycle through a waning phase.

Age of 9, prompts overarching adjustments from internal to external, — plus tweaking annually. New builds, including some countries will bask in peak phase timeliness; such as Iceland or Australia, both pinged by 1844 Constitutional Acts, now experience a renaissance. Perhaps the ‘Uluru Statement from the Heart’ is realised (Australia’s PM, an owner of Wood Dragon day pillar). South is now the darling direction — especially Southern highlands with water views to the North — Fire the noble element, optimism the mood, and women especially mature females, the most attuned. Emphasis on coronary, blood and eye health are most prone to influence. Achievement, growth, success and spirituality dials up for the next two decades. You’ll have an edge if you’re Ming Gua #9.

Couched in Dragon’s yearly tenure are echoes of Rabbit’s legacy; East and SE still spotlit; emphasis reversed. The Annual Flying Stars (AFS) #3 corresponds to Thunder ☴, (reactivating East) while underpinning a more obvious wood(3) accelerates the expansive fire changeover. A quickening occurs, changes impulsive. Expect the unexpected; extrasensory perception heightens telepathic channels. SE/NW axis of Dragon/Dog is most prominent. 2024 sees mature males and females, step up as edgy changemakers, the architects of the future; take stances on noble causes.

This year expect irritating quarrels to ignite like wildfires; but gifting resolve post outbursts. Typically disputes are monetary related; involving mature males. Notions of being robbed surface — literally and metaphorically. West sectors and regions, hosts a gnarly challenging combo. Young Females are most susceptible to influence. Dial up happiness via hobbies and avoid vices as dependency likely. Occupy West sectors infrequently especially at sundown. Neutral serene décor subdues.

For some, Dragon showers riches and boosts reputations, others rewarded for unique talents. Dust off lofty goals as ambitions are realised —especially scholarly, scientific, writing or creative pursuits — life’s great ruminators, relish isolation to create. Unchanneled, this manifests as loneliness. Increase time spent facing NW sectors to harness artistic endeavours. Folks with this exact pillar include, Salvador Dali, Joseph Campbell Theodore Seuss and Stephen Shapiro (double pillars). Collectively we may all feel enlightened, with appreciation for visual arts enhanced.

Celestial Skylord’s are nomadic; yet Chez Dragons aspire to Pritzker prize worthy structures; expect schedule and budget blowouts if you’re building. Dragon is symbolic of water (namely wealth in Feng Shui), tend to water features, faucets, leaks or wells to maintain prosperity. If renovating, thread softly in Dogs digs (NW1) as the axis unleashes hellish headaches. Blending Fires overarching governance, an eye for beauty coupled with a bias for technology gizmos, including Energy features, transpire.

Dwellings with key positions in SE sector will need remediation. The wellness barometer star, hangs out in Dragon’s den, especially influencing mature ladies; regardless of gender, wellbeing checks for all, since the annual pillar shows tension between wood and earth — the spleen, pancreas, stomach and digestion related illnesses may arise. Liver also triggers angst. The New Age adds a layer of inflammation, be it ocular or myocarditis. Generally speaking, annual solace arrives across all Northern sectors (SW needs remediation).

In summary, the Wood Dragon King is a powerful catalyst for heralding a New Age. Dragon’s flamboyance and luster incites many; but will we really examine what lies beneath or run through its veins? Will dragon’s need for speed and victory be our undoing? Just like roulette; gambling with luck is risky. Strike a tempered balance and avoid repenting. Practice patience and savour pearls of wisdom, for via the cosmic horns of destiny, next year the ‘little dragon’ aka the snake, you can apply such wisdom.
