Your MOON LORE wisdom for Monday 15th October 2018.

🌕 CHINESE ALMANAC

Destruction days don’t have to be negative and bleak. Albeit according to the Chinese Almanac, a 破 (Po) Clash day is said to deliver mostly unfavourable and damaging charged Ch’i. It’s generally deemed the least favourable of the twelve day types in the Tong Shu and the best use of the day’s energies are to use it to - destroy, demolish or to end and purge.

👥 PERSONAL

A new Moon is seen as the best time to manifesting new beginnings, so if you are keen to begin ending or purging something from your life, then today’s Chinese almanac energies may align with your intentions. Something like starting a diet perhaps? It’s been a week since the new moon came into being and it’s about to change phase tomorrow, so make sure to nail down your intentions today. The lunar lady is free from VoC from early morning, ensuring manifesting should seed and succeed.

🌿GARDENING

Chicory root reliever by art in the age.

Gardening wise, the earthy Semi Fertile Capricorn moon makes an appearance from 6:16am and is favourable for setting out plants (transplanting). Above ground crops are ideal for planting in the current waxing moon phase. Especially your leafy spring greens if you live in the S. Hemisphere - basil, cabbages, chives, lettuces etc . Cucumbers are also set to favour these conditions. Grafting is also encouraged before the sap starts to flow, while the moon is in the final day of the 1st quarter phase.

I came across an interesting note recently on Chicory. It’s purported to be a good luck charm and a chicory root is said to aid in removing obstacles, ideal for a destructive purging day perhaps? I’m thinking it could work for those keen to purge caffeine from their lives and substitute with chicory root!

🏡 BUILDING

One thing that comes to mind on a clash day, involves destroying something like the physical demolition of a building! It’s an ideal day to let a demolition crew loose. Or on a smaller scale perhaps a good day to remodel and knock out a stud wall.

Clutter clearing or a Space clearing is also one of the more favourable uses of a Destructive day, although be careful if you are not skilled in the are of Space clearing - a destructive day after all has volatile energy.

✂️ GROOMING

Hair grows quicker in a waxing moon phase and Capricorns semi fertile tone adds to the mix. That said an English folklore rhyme notes Mondays as an ominous day to get a trim.

🐲 CHINESE ANIMALS

It’s a Dragon day, so heads up to all lucky folk with the celestial animal as their Lucky Money day charm. If you were born in the year of the Rat, Dragon, Monkey or Rooster then today's energies will suit you best. The most benevolent hours of the day are between the hours of 3-5am followed by 9-11am with the same two hours duplicated in the evening Pig Hours (9-11pm).
