ASTRO REFERENDUM PONDERINGS

Image via makeneonsign.com

I’ll start by saying this is NOT a politically aligned post -just an observation via Chinese astro lens. And a dash of astrological hope.

Astro fiends oft ponder a covert astrologers involvement when big events or high profile people randomly seem to benefit from an auspicious chart. In the industry such timings are known as ‘electional charts’ – a coincidental pun by the way! US President Regan was said to frequently work with an astrologer during his tenure. However, Australia’s recent referendum on an Indigenous Voice to Parliament lacked the benefit of recognising astrological red flags in advance.

Australia’s PM Anthony Albanese committed to a First nations voice in the constitution in his 21 May 2022 victory speech. Then announcing the referendum date 30 Aug 2023 – both fell under Mercury Retrogrades… the astro catalyst for fundamental communication blunders – mixed messaging and snafu’s likely. Albanese’s government lobbied for a ‘Yes’ vote, the opposition lobbied for a ‘No’. The actual referendum date of 14 Oct 2023 — was couched in a Solar Eclipse. The day Earthly branch was a snake — a symbolic representation of Eclipse! Since time immortal, Eclipse’s are omens – occurring in Libra, a calibrator of the Zodiac; when the lights went out (aka a solar eclipse) — YES or NO decisions were left hanging in the balance. The scales tipped in favour of ‘No’.

Let’s breaking it down – this is not an exhaustive analysis just some Chinese astro observations.(if you like BaZi charts this post is for you!). Rabbit years see changes in Laws. However if there’s uncertainty, then inking contracts/legal docs presents a hard fought battle to change an iron clad agreement. The 2023 Rabbit brings foresight, with many optical advances in former Rabbit years – the eclipse dimming the light on legal fine print, certainly wasn’t ideal.

Countries also have natal astrology charts. Australia’s 1 Jan 1901 Federation chart was a Metal Rat year. The alternative chart is the emotive Colonisation chart of 26 Jan 1788 — a Fire Goat year. Colloquially Jan 26 is referred to Australia day; but to First Nation’s people it’s Invasion day. (see fours pillars charts.)

Via the 1788 chart we see Ox and Goat; partner with the dog in October’s Referendum chart delivering what’s called a ‘Bullying punishment’; classically interpreted as ‘setting out to help, but you’ll end up harming!

In the federation 1901 chart and the 2023 referendum chart we see pillars duplicate, two Rats partner with two Rabbits, delivering a double ‘uncivilised punishment’ —classed as Holy Grail of penalties. Manifesting as abusing your trust and thus being taken advantage. (This duo also manifests in the 1788 chart).

The natal chart of a country’s steward has a significant bearing on a Nations’ chart. Prime Minister Albanese is 60, so his annual pillar matches the current Water Rabbit pillar— therefore his chart is highly activated in 2023. A Ben Ming Nian year is not necessarily auspicious. One is called to face the mirror so to speak, and to do the hard work. Perhaps internally spurring the needed to call referendum? But Ben Ming Nian years (when your 12,24,36 etc) are cautionary, and best not take on major projects. The PM’s chart adds a Dragon* partnering with Goat & Ox plus the electional month of Dog — Four earth signs, signal a stalemate signature.

Pulling a Rabbit out of a Hat — when three specific factors are triggered, was always going to be a challenge. During 2023, the three signs of Dog, Rooster and Monkey need kid gloves. Dog month (aka Oct referendum month). Dog is both friend and foe in 2023, bringing mixed blessings. But in some ways this Referendum has been dogged by astro Dogs. The promised Indigenous Voice in Albanese’s victory speech (21 May 2022) fell on a Dog day. Then the 30 Aug 2023 voting day announcement featured double metal Monkey pillars. Voting opened in Sept. 25 2023 – another dog day, in a Rooster month, and the referendum date set for Dog month. Albanese cast his early vote on 7 Oct — which fell on an all Earth Dog Day pillar (& a Metal Rooster Month; the specific chart I’d already flagged in posts as nasty and likely to pack a punch; it also turned out to be the day of the Hamas / Israel invasion). Albanese inadvertently managed to activate what are called the ‘three killing’ branches of 2023 (aka three silent assassins) on three key days – Rooster, Dog and Monkey. Noting also that Peter Dutton, the leader of the Opposition party, who led the ‘No’ campaign, was born in a Dog year.

A look at the 14 Oct Lunar Mansions — Willow 柳. This simple date selection system shows the Willow mansion governs sadness and suffering. Put bluntly, it’s unfavourable for everything, especially launching new projects.

A super quick look back at other referendums. The last Australian referendum was held in 1999 another Rabbit Year – in a dog month, on a dog Day — also unsuccessful. The successful 1946 referendum was in a Dog Year; but ‘three extraordinary Noblemen’ —an astro trifecta— lined up to deliver a typical ‘great achievement’- which incidentally had three referendum questions! The victorious 1967 referendum was in Goat year (twinning with 1788 year pillar), on a rabbit day – noting Dog was also a challenger that year, but the election chart didn’t feature a Dog branch. Like i said, Dog can be both friend and foe. And other aforementioned factors such as Mercury retro, a PM’s birth chart, or eclipses haven’t been assessed for that referendum.

And Finally. Albanese’s twinning pillar of 2023 certainly triggered the three assassins branches. And the 1901 and 1788 Nations charts triggered by ‘uncivilised punishments’. Pulling Referendum Rabbits from hats, under this astro weather was a big ask. *On Global fronts former rabbit years had greater success passing treaties — Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, Partial Test Treaty Ban,  Treaty of Paris, British Supplementary Treaty of the Bogue and Peace Treaty in Japan. However, in my Annual 2024 Forecast, written back in March 2023; I spoke of the New Age of Nine we enter in 2024 til 2043 and what the 20 year tenure could deliver. The next 20 years are strongly correlates to ‘heart’ energies. I actually noted ‘Australia’s Uluru’s statement from the Heart maybe realised’ under this double decade window. I’ve wrote 2024 is likely to ping a Constitutional change (exactly what changes I’m not sure yet.) Albanese was also born on a Wood Dragon Day pillar - twinning with 2024 Dragon pillar. But for me, under the New Age 9 tenure, I see 2037 (maybe 2038) as a significant year for another bite at the cherry so speak including Heart felt desires. I’ve my eye on a certain day and month but for now — I’m waiting and watching ⧇
